“From the very beginning my parents taught me to work hard, and I remember hating work and I even resented them at times for making me work. I remember all my friends would be playing and I’d be like the only one that wasn’t playing because I had to go help my parents. Some kids would make fun of me, but I guess my parents knew that it was important that I work hard. I didn't realize it then, but somehow the values they instilled in me paid off when I became an adult.”
